These quaint Historic Bryce Canyon Cabins were once nestled among the Ponderosa Pines near The Lodge at Bryce Canyon National Park. They were built by Union Pacific and designed by the very talented architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood. He tried to preserve the beauty of the surroundings within his designs and create a natural connection with these Bryce Canyon cabins. Construction began on the cabins in 1925 and by 1927 they were complete.
In the mid 1980's the concessionaire at Bryce Canyon decided to build motel units to replace the cabins. The cabins were auctioned off and Bryce Pioneer Village purchased 10. The Cabins were carefully moved to the town of Tropic, 8 miles away to help preserve a touch of history.

Your Bryce Canyon cabins are now modernized for your convenience - full indoor plumbing, flat screen televisions, microwaves, refrigerators and Wi-Fi have been added among other contemporary additions, while trying to preserve the important history at the same time.

After a day of hiking and sight seeing, come relax and enjoy our old west, small town atmosphere. As the sun sets, look to the East and enjoy a spectacular view of Powell Point. Enjoy the campfire and reminisce about the day's adventures or find a quiet spot to read a book. Whatever your plans, you'll appreciate the country quiet of the town of Tropic.
